We really liked our cabin, #8099. It was the first Signature Suite we have had. It is the next best thing to a Neptune Suite. It is LARGE, especially conveniently located to the Main Dining Room, to the Photo Gallery, to the doors outside to deck 3/Lower Promenade deck, to the Lido(cafeteria), and to the stern of the ship. The aft elevator was only a few steps away, yet we heard no sound from there either. It is only about a 7 minute walk to the other end of the ship, such as to the World Stage. I had been a little worried about noise from the Lido, but our wonderful HAL Personal Cruise Consultant’s assurances were completely correct: We heard not a sound from the Lido as we were under a carpeted area. Though there was a cabin steward work area across the corridor, we heard no sound from there, either. Since the cabin is on the bump out the cabin and the balcony had interesting shapes. There were great views from the balcony both straight out and towards the bow. We could see outdoors from the desk by the window as well as the double doors to the balcony. The table was large enough to eat meals out there. We liked the cabin also because we were able to plug in my CPAP machine at the bed.The bathroom was very nice with its two sinks, a shower stall, and a shower in the jetted tub. No proximity lights on the floor of the cabin, but the bathroom light had a night setting.
