Cabin 8068 is a handicapped accessible (ambulatory) Signature Suite on the Westerdam. The location is ideal as it’s mid-ship right by the glass elevator. The balcony is large with 2 chairs (reclining type), 2 ottomans, and one large table. I checked and the only way people can see you from the elevators is if you are at the railing and they go by quick enough they can’t see much!
The cabin has an automatic entry door and there’s a button on the wall by the bathroom to open the door when you go out. There’s aso a button to push to open the bathroom door. The bathroom was very spacious. There was a separate shower – small but very efficient and great water pressure. The tub isn’t the high-sided kind. There is also a shower seat for the tub.
The room is very nice. I had them take out the round glass table and arm chair. That allowed my husband to drive his scooter in and have turn around area. He could also fit the scooter comfortably on the balcony! The mini-fridge is in the desk area and the stewards emptied it for us with no problem.
The closets were good. The one closest to the door was all shelves. The middle was for all hanging clothes. The one closest to the room was shelving and that’s where the safe was as well as the robes, etc. The bed was very comfortable and the tv worked well. It was nice to have the big tv. THe view is from our balcony in Seattle. Your choice if you want to use it but I thought it was a nice picture.
I would gladly book this cabin again – in a heartbeat. Great location, room for a scooter and a walker, and so convenient. We were below the Lido but only occasionally had any noise and it didn’t last at all.
