This was the first time I booked a cabin on deck 1.  I selected an aft cabin that wasn’t under any noisy area of the ship.  
Pros:  Full size sofa, very long desk, larger vanity than normal, shower instead of tub/shower. 
Cons:  There is a post on the right wall that you must squeeze past if you wish to sleep on that side of the bed. See picture. The engine noise was very loud and did not allow for restful sleep.  I requested a move to deck 4 OV cabin after one night!  I will not book a cabin in this area again.
