1130 – Nieuw Amsterdam

In my haste I only took two quick pics of the room. The holy crow we barely made it here photo and one window gazing. I’d stay in this room again. Very end of the hall, just past guest services. Didn’t have the guest services area odor though – 3rd ship I’ve been on that has a distinct damp smell in that area of the ship. One neighbor to the left and what seemed a never used service door outside to the right of the room door. A no traffic zone basically. No noise at all. One or two cranks & bumps porting; I heard far more noise on 7th floor Rotterdam than in this room. The quietest room I’ve travelled in honestly. We sleep cold, 15-16 degrees, the night room temp seemed a bit warmer than that at times, but not too hot. Shower – no bath, standard bathroom shelves and 4 hallway closets – desk, telescopic table and a comfy couch. Room service was always quick on a full sailing. I like a balcony for air circulation, if a balcony were not available. I’d definitely stay this location again. Super handy for self-disembarkation, hadn’t planned that way but worked out well, we were off to the airport by 7:15.
