Kindly provided by Cruise Critic member ‘AryMay’. Photos taken in April and May 2018.
These photos are from cabin #3339 on the Zaandam taken on the first cruise following the drydock in April 2018. This cabin is a category D oceanview stateroom on the Lower Promenade deck.
During the drydock, the bathtub was removed and replaced with a large, glass shower and the walls and vanity surfaces were also changed.
The self-serve laundry was located right across the hall, but this was removed from service during the drydock and no longer available to use.
Having a cabin on the Lower Promenade deck was a great location…it was great to have quick access to the walking deck. (The photo with all of the people was taken when they were starting to line up for the safety drill.) We could see out the window, but during the day no one could see inside due to a coating on the glass. At night, we had to make sure the curtains were closed. We used magnets on the wall on either side of the window. I had magnetic clips (like fridge magnets) to hold papers but my husband had a very heavy magnetic hook that was strong enough to hold his backpack. We tested all of the walls and other than the ceiling, that one wall was the only one where the magnets would not slide down.
Initially the bed was configured as a king, but we requested to have the beds separated to provide more floor space and better viewing out the window.
