Currently on a Hawaiian cruise (RT San Diego), which has been wonderful. The Zaandam is in terrific shape, and is the perfect size. What is somewhat ironic is that even though Cabin 1813 still has an “old” bathroom (which, again, is in terrific shape) my cabin steward tells me that the cabins on either side have renovated bathrooms with glass enclosed walk-in showers.
This was my first time in a porthole cabin. It was a little darker than I had imagined… a bit of a cross between an interior and an oceanview. But it suited my needs quite well. And the storage space is AMAZING (but no fridge).
