4045 – Koningsdam

DH said this was the best room we ever had! (Not counting suites, of course). Very spacious, and a huge balcony. We had 8 on it for sailaways with plenty of space for more – of course we could only seat 5, the two chairs outside, plus the footstool with a cushion, the desk chair and the inside small table with a cushion. It must be 18 feet long, about 5 ft wide. The room is probably 18 by 14, with the bathroom carved out of one corner. There is a large window as well as the door to the verandah. The tv is on a swivel, so can point toward the bed or the chair (I can’t even call it a love seat) in the corner.

We were nervous about smoke wafting up from the casino below us, but never smelt any smoke in the room or hallway outside the room. We did, however, feel/hear the beat from the Rolling Stone Rock Room group 2 decks down when they were playing, but it never kept us awake, and other than that, we never heard anything. We were across from the stewards’ room, but there was not too much traffic by them, as they used carts for their equipment. Someone who is really concerned about noise might do better in 4046 on the other side, as it would be (2 decks) above the “duelling pianos” in the Billboard Onboard.”

These were taken during turnaround day in Port Everglades. The Stewards didn’t want me to take pics of the unmade room, but when they were busy elsewhere I got in!
