This is an Obstructed Verandah Cabin that runs lengthways (i.e. a standard Obstructed Verandah is wider than it is long, however 4045 is one of the cabins which is longer than wider. This gives a great impression of space and the ceiling to floor window, which is in addition to the glass door to the verandah, lets in an immense amount of light. The TV is on a full motion wall bracket and can be viewed from the bed or from the love seat. The Verandah is longer than a standard Obstructed Verandah.
Although smoking is permitted in the casino (one floor below), there was no smell of smoking in the passageway outside the room.
The bass and drums form Rolling Stone Rock Room could be clearly heard and felt. It didn’t bother us, but maybe someone who is a light and early sleeper should think twice before booking this cabin. Who ever said that the entertainment on HAL ended before midnight was mistaken as the Rock Room did not end until 12.15 most nights and 12.30 on dressy nights.
The vacuum flush ‘swoosh’ from next door cabin on both sides was clearly audible.
Would we book this one again? Maybe! Would probably try for the port side version 4046 or 4044.
