3356 – Zaandam

3356 is a basic interior cabin on the lower promenade deck very close to midship and also very close to the outer deck, especially on the port side.

My reaction as a solo was that having the beds together left very little space between the bed and the wall but that there was ample center room in a twin bed arrangement. I think like most basic cabins on the R ships there is one European and one US outlet at the desk and with some work and the help of a chair I was able to use a second European outlet behind the TV.

The bath is shower only with a shelf under the sink, a single cabinet, and a 120/240V shaver outlet.

Each of the 4 closets has some kind of bar for hanging clothes; there are 3 drawers at the desk and 2 in each night stand and single drawers under the foot of each bed, and ample shelves.

The safe is the old style which requires a credit or key card to operate. I found no place anywhere in the cabin where the wall would support a magnet.
